About me

Hi, I'm Joel Boehner, a very proud recipient of the 2025 Strategic Data Excellence Award from the Strategic Data Project. I serve as the Assistant Director of Exceptional Learners for South Bend Community School Corporation in South Bend, Indiana. My data work focuses on imagining, collaborating, building, and implementing special education compliance dashboards. I'm motivated to figure out how the massive amount of special education data collected every day can be transformed into actionable insights for teachers and districts for the benefit of student progress. In short: I’m here for the data AND for the students with disabilities.
